Board Customization
As standard, boards are built in plain wood with a discreet Ondanova logo on deck and bottom, and a 5 mm mahogany stringer. Some photos may show boards with aesthetic variations (colored rail bands, thicker or multiple stringers, or different logo placements). Unless selected as an option, these elements are not included and the board will be delivered in its standard version.
If you choose options other than the standard configuration, we will contact you after your order to confirm the details (colors, stringer thickness or placement, logo style and position).
Keel Fish
The Fish is a fast and versatile board inspired by the classic keel fish, slightly refined for a more modern and balanced feel.
The wide outline and swallow tail create excellent speed and glide, especially in weaker or slower waves. At the same time, the outline has been slightly tightened to keep the board responsive and comfortable to turn, making it more versatile than many traditional fish shapes.
The bottom starts relatively flat through the front to generate speed and maintain good paddle power. Through the middle, it transitions into a single concave that helps the board accelerate and creates lift under the front foot. Toward the tail, the bottom blends into a subtle V, allowing the board to roll smoothly from rail to rail and making turns easier despite the board’s width and twin keel setup.
The twin keel fins provide strong drive and projection down the line. They favor long, flowing turns and a smooth surfing style rather than tight vertical maneuvers. Combined with the board’s width and volume, this creates a fast and lively feeling on the wave.
The Fish generally works best when ridden 4–8 inches shorter than your height, and with a bit more volume than your usual shortboard. This extra foam helps with paddling, early wave entry, and maintaining the effortless speed that fish shapes are known for.
A timeless design that combines classic glide and speed with a slightly more modern, versatile feel.
